The recent
OFSTED inspection on Lyng Hall School shows that it is doing well and has made good
progress since it was inspected in March 1997 and placed in Special Measures.
This is due to the hard work, commitment and dedication shown by the Headteacher, staff
and pupils at the school. The City Councils Education Services has also worked hard
to provide additional support to the school over the last two years and the new school
building (opened in September last year) has greatly improved working conditions for both
staff and pupils.
Councillor Joe Clifford, Chair of Educational Excellence policy Team says,
"Its great news that Lyng Hall have come out of Special Measures. I have
every confidence that the Head, staff and pupils will continue the good work and carry on
improving and making the most of their new, attractive school buildings."
