Are you planning a small
arts project for the year 2000? Th Millennium Festival Fund Roadshow is holding a
meeting for arts organisations on Wednesday 17 February at 6 pm in the Council House
Committee Rooms.
The meeting will provide arts and community organisations who are planning an arts
project to celebrate the Millennium with information on how to apply for an Awards
For All grant towards the cost of the project. Attendance at the roadshow meeting is
free.
So if youre planning an arts project that is for the benefit of the community,
planning to celebrate the Millennium in your local area with a special arts activity or
project and would like to make an application for a small grant, then youre welcome
to attend the meeting.
The roadshow will be presented by Rick Hall, Millennium Festival Advisor from the New
millennium Experience Company who is managing the National Lottery Millennium Festival
Arts Awards for All scheme.
Councillor Gillian Darby, Chair of the Arts and Cultural Affairs Policy Team said:
"This is great opportunity for local Coventry people to find our more about the
Awards for All grants available. If youre just beginning your planning on an art
based event for the Millennium, this is the perfect opportunity to find out if youre
eligible for funding."
Rick Hall, Millennium Festival Advisor said:
"Although the application packs wont be launched until April, I am keen to
encourage people to start their planning now. Groups will need to be properly organised

and show that they are able to manage their finances. Projects will need to be for the
benefit and have the clear support of local communities and have a clear reason for taking
place in the year 2000. Grants will be for amounts between £500 and £5,000."
