Leisure services are pleased to announce that as part of its
Millennium Events package, the famous Mongolian State Circus will appear in Coventry in
march 2000.
After some months of negotiations, UK Circus Tour manager Larry De Wit has confirmed
that he has chosen to bring the show to Coventry using Hearsall Common as the venue.
The all human circus has some of the finest performers in the world, including
Acrobats, Jugglers, Trapeze Artists, strongmen, Contortionists and the show also features
the worlds best Hand Balancing act.
Councillor Dave Edwards, Chair of the Sports and Parks Policy Team said:
"Councils all over the country have been competing with each other to try to
attract the Circus on its first British visit. The city Council is committed to supporting
a diverse and attractive programme of events during the Millennium year. I am delighted
that this world renown show is coming to Coventry. It fits in perfectly with our plans to
present top quality events for the enjoyment of people of all ages."
