Asian language speakers are invited to special sessions with Council Planning
Officers and interpreters to discuss the Coventry Development Plan and the changes it
outlines for the city.
Cllr Mrs Sheila Collins, Chair of the Planning policy Team, said today:
"The issues covered in the Coventry Development Plan such as transport, housing,
shopping, leisure, and jobs are important for every person living in Coventry. These
special sessions for people who communicate best in Asian languages will help to explain
the impact of the Plan and give answers to any questions. I encourage people to come along
and have their say on Coventrys future."
The meetings will take place at Stoke Library on Tuesday 17 November, 11.30am
2.30pm and 5 7pm and Foleshill Library on Tuesday 24 November, 11.30am
2.30pm and 5 7pm and displays showing the impact of the Coventry Development Plan
will form a basis for the discussions. The deadline for comments is 16 December.
The Coventry Development Plan guides the development of land in the city, outlines
future transport strategies and describes environmental proposals up to the year 2011.
