People are being invited to
have their say on the planned new look for squares in Broadgate and
the Council House in Coventry city centre.
The controversial plans, which
include shiny steel glitter balls, dry ice, water features and long
strands of metal ribbons, will be on display in the central library
until Saturday.
Following that they will be on
show in the reception area of Coventry City Council’s Tower Block in
Meschede Way, off Little Park Street, for two weeks.
People will be able to make
their comments about the proposals before the next stage of the design
is undertaken.
They can also suggest where
Lady Godiva's statue should be moved to.
Duncan Elliott of the City
Development Directorate said;
“We want to give people as
much opportunity as possible to view these designs as they are major
pieces in the overall development of Coventry city centre.
“A comments book will be
available for those wishing to pass their comments on about the
proposals, which we will take into consideration when taking the
designs on to the next stage.”
Where do you
think Lady Godiva should go? Email our letters page at editor@cwn.org.uk
and we will pass your comments to the council.
