Coventry City
Council and Warwickshire County Council Investment Agencies have teamed up to ensure that
potential investors are fully aware of the development opportunities available in the
sub-region.
Coventry City Councils Coventry Centre for Investment, in partnership with
Warwickshire Investment Partnership, will be exhibiting at the Midlands Property Show on
24 June 1999 at the Motorcycle museum (Junction 6 on the M42) in Birmingham. This one-day
event will spotlight major property regeneration projects across the region.
The exhibition will allow the City Councils Coventry Centre for Investment and
its partners to meet agents, developers and those interested in hearing about the future
development of Coventry and Warwickshire. The show will raise the profile of the area as a
potential location for investment and by networking with professionals at the exhibition
we will generate leads and contacts within the property world, and strengthen links with
our existing partners.
This is the third year Coventry has been in attendance at the show, although the first
partnership with Warwickshire. The event attracts hundreds of visitors and will give
Coventry and Warwickshire a unique opportunity to showcase the exciting developments in
the area and to show potential investors that it is well worth looking at what the city
has to offer.
Keresley Park, LeisureWorld & Arena and Arena 2000 will be showcased on the day and
guest speakers, who have extensive knowledge of the major developments taking place in the
area, have agreed to attend. These include John McGuigan (Director of the City Development
Directorate), Stuart Guest (Director of Arena 2000) and Jonathan Horsfield (Principal
Officer, Physical Regeneration and Development) who will represent Warwickshire County
Council.
Councillor Sheila Collins, Chair of the Economic Regeneration Policy Team said,
"The Midlands Property Show is a great opportunity for us to showcase the
significant development opportunities that Coventry has to offer. The continued
regeneration of Coventry relies on us being able to attract new investors to the city and
with more than £800 million worth of development either underway or about to start,
Coventry really is a very exciting place for developers, investors and property
agents."
