Racing Takes Virtual Pole Position
Jaguar
Racing’s website has come out top of the pile in the “Oscars”
of the internet by being chosen as the best sports site.
It
took pole position in the sports on-line category, beating off
competition from more than 40 countries.
The
judges picked out www.jaguar-racing.com
as a “stylish and slick site, catering to a specific sports
audience.”
It
was also commended for demonstrating a “good use of design and
technology with extensive information.”
The
site was also voted runner-up to the financial times site in the
Best News and Zines category at the EMMA awards in Amsterdam.
It
has attracted more than 88 million hits within seven months of
launch, and more than 60,000 team fans have signed up to become
members of the team’s Virtual Club.
