NOTE : For any enquiries where someone
is trying to find someone else we feel it better if you do know the people being sought to ask them first before passing on any information about them - remember they may not want to be found!

ARTHUR STARTIN (worked at ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH)
I am hoping to get in touch with anyone who knew Arthur Startin (my dad)
who was born on 29 March 1927 in Nuneaton. Lived and schooled in
Stockingford.
Sadly he died when I was 7, so I am now trying, without much success, to
gain some knowledge of his earlier years.
As far as work goes he spent several years in the Royal Navy, followed
by Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft. I believe he married a lady called Mae,
and
following divorce married Betty (my mum) and moved to Weymouth, where he
worked for the Devonish Breweries. We returned to Nuneaton in around
1970.
If anyone remembers (even vaguely) Arthur Startin, or can put me in
touch with any of his school friends/colleagues I would be hugely
grateful. I believe he went to Stockingford School.
Today the 13th of August our brother passed away at 4.35pm. They kept
him as pain free as possible for someone who had stage 4 cancer could
be. His wish was to die at home, his family was in agreement with this.
His daughter in law, kept her word on all of his wishes, but last night
the pain was so intense they had him transport to a hospice care unit.
Jack Billings, born 15 December 1946, in Coventry England. Came over
with our Mother on the Queen Mary, and they settled along with my father
in Fairbury, Nebraska, USA.
Later his sisters came along, to be a pain in his side, all 5, Shirley,
Sandy, Debbie, Vicky and Terri Jo, Cindy passed away at the age of 4
months.
Jack had a hard life, always searching for something but never finding
it until he met Linda, together they had 3 children, Tammy, Sheri, and
Jack Jr. or J.R.. He had a step daughter Tina from Linda's first
marriage. Things never came easy for him, but he did the best he could
for his family.
He was our brother, and we did what little sisters did, bug the heck out
of him.
Hopefully he is at peace, he deserve peace.
Jack we may not of talked, but you are in my heart, and prayers. God
Bless you...
