Guestbook - November 2007
The Guestbook is not just about finding old friends, you might also
want to post questions about the local area or make comment on a visit
to Coventry and Warwickshire. If you would like to post a message to the
guestbook please send them to : editor@cwn.org.uk
NOTE : For any enquiries where someone
is trying to find someone else we feel it better if you do know the people being sought to ask them first before passing on any information about them - remember they may not want to be found!

BARRS HILL SCHOOL |
|
Hi my name is Susan Patel and attended Barrs Hill School between 1979
and 1983. Mr George was our year head.
I remember watching the large building at the front of the school get
torn down, and I also remember the builders finding an old world war
bomb in the rubble of the concrete. That was amazing.
I also remember when they added on the new part of the school, and
remember how much walking we had to do from one end of the school to the
other.
I would love to hear from friends and teachers who would remember me -
Mr George, Mr Thomas history teacher, Karen Magovern, Sally Ingram,
Nicola Wilson, Jayne Smith.
I now live in the Atlanta Georgia, with my wonderful husband of 13 years
and two very smart kids and am very very happy.
There might be a few of you who might even know my brother Mukesh Patel.
He too is now in the States right here in Georgia, with his wife and
kids.
Please email me if anybody can recall me.

PHILLIP BASKERVILLE - LOOKING FOR OLD FRIENDS |
|
I was born in 1936 in Coventry and went
to Paradise Infants School, then to Edgwick Junior School until 1947,
John Gulson until 1950, then for one year to Broad Street.
After I left
school I served my apprenticeship at Alfred Herberts in the toolroom. I
married June Brook in 1951 and we have three kids, Lesley, Paul and Lee.
We left Coventry in 1967 and emigrated to USA.
I would love to hear from any old friends, schoolmates, workmates and
especially family.
