Guestbook - February 2007
The Guestbook is not just about finding old friends, you might also
want to post questions about the local area or make comment on a visit
to Coventry and Warwickshire. If you would like to post a message to the
guestbook please send them to : editor@cwn.org.uk
NOTE : For any enquiries where someone
is trying to find someone else we feel it better if you do know the people being sought to ask them first before passing on any information about them - remember they may not want to be found!

HIGHAM LANE HIGH SCHOOL |
|
I went to Higham Lane High School from 1960 - 1964 and would love to
hear from anyone who also attended at that time.
My maiden name was Chamberlain and lived in Nuneaton in Higham Lane for
quite some years and went to the infants and junior school there.
I can't remember many names but Linda Penn and Dianne Durno seem to come
to mind. I still keep in touch with Hilary Barnett (now Regan) and
correspond and talk on the phone mostly at birthdays and Christmas. |

LOOKING FOR BOB WILDE |
|
I attended Oken School from 1956 or 1957 until 1960. Mr Handford was the
Headmaster. My father was in the Royal Airforce at the time based at
Wellesbourne.
I am very keen to contact my best pal at school BOB WILDE who was in 3C1
with me. His father if I remember correctly was killed during the 2nd
World War while serving in submarines. He lived with his sister at RAF
Gaydon.
I would love to meet again anyone that remembers me. I moved to Cyprus
in 1960 returning in '61 to commence a retail career with PH Woodward in
the Parade in Leamington.
In 1963 I joined the Fleet Air Arm as a Naval Air Mechanic. During this
period of my life I served in many different areas of this wonderful
world. Apart from a 3 year break in civvy street in1972 and onwards I
stayed with the RN until 1988. |
