Hello. We think this is a great site idea.
We are Graham and Linda Williams. Linda was formerly Reading. We have lived in Edmonton,
Alberta Canada for 21 years but we are and always will be Coventry Kids. We were born in
Coventry in 1943 and still have many relatives living in Coventry and area, as well as in
Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Graham lived in Styvechale and Willenhall and attended
Whitley Abbey School until 1959. Later he apprenticed at BSE Parkside. Linda attended
Barker Butts School until 1959. Later worked at Carbodies and Motor Panels. After marrying
and having 3 daughters, we moved to Hinckley (Glenbarr Close) until moving to Canada in
1975.
We would love to hear from anyone who may remember us or
who would just like to talk about Coventry and area. Our e mail address is williamg@compusmart.ab.ca

I'm in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. My wife was born in
Leamington Spa, and Coventry is the closest website I can find, so I'll address this to
you.
A year ago, on a trip back to Leamington, my wife's parents
brought her back a calendar showing street scenes and streetscapes in Leamington Spa from
about the turn of the century to date. Obviously, this calendar is now out of date, and
I'd like to find her a new one. If anyone can help, please leave a message on this web
address, since I don't have one of my own. Any help would be appreciated.

Postscript: Leamington Spa-area residents might be
interested to know that there is a Leamington (pronounced LEEMington, here) about 40 miles
southeast of Windsor, Ontario, on the shores of Lake Erie. I presume it was named by
someone from the Warwickshire area.

Hi, my name is Gail and I have a pen pal exchange from
students in Coventry going here in Indiana, USA. If there are any children who would like
to have pen pals from the USA just email me back. I have 3 kids, Daniel who is 7, Melody
who is 10 and Kim who is 12. I also have the exchange going with kids from our 1st grade
school (7 year olds) and 4th grade (10 years). And I may even get 6th grade (12 year olds)
going.
Thanks. Love the web site!

Hi Coventry
I am a Coventry kid now living in Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada. I was born just before the Second World War, in a nursing home that was
situated at the top of Bishop Street close to the Canal Basin. I lived in Honiton Road for
twenty years before getting married and moving into a house at Mount Nod. I served a five
year apprentiship at the General Electric Company as a Draughtsman from 1953 to 1958 and
continued to work there till 1964. I then moved to the Damiler/Jaguar at Radford, in the
bus design office, before moving to Burgess products in Hinkley as an Industrial Noise
Consultant. I then went to work at Alfred Herberts in the electronic design department and
then eleven years for Coventry Industrial Designs as a Senior Process Engineer.
I left Coventry in 1981 for Canada. Now if there is any one
out there that remembers me, or would just like to know a little more about Canada or
Coventry, just email me, I will be pleased to communicate with you.

Hi, my name is Bruce. I am an American from New York. I
will be marrying a Coventry girl this November. We visited Coventry this past summer for
her sister's wedding. I had a great time in Coventry. I got to go to some neat little
towns like Monks Kirby, Kenilworth, and Warwick. I can't wait to go back. We really
enjoyed your website, it was fun to surf around. Keep up the good work.
thanks
