I'm planning a trip from Florida to Coventry and cannot
determine whether to fly to Manchester or London in light of the fact that I will be
taking a train on to Coventry. Both cities appear to be about the same distance from
Coventry. I would greatly appreciate any advice regarding which location would offer the
best way to get to Coventry by train; and, to be honest, am hoping to avoid London. Thank
you.

I am happy to visit Coventry on the web. It is really a
good job for someone who wants to see the university and the city. I am going to come
there to study because these pages make a good impression.

WOW!
My name is Trisha Bond (nee Hood) and I live in Ontario
Canada. What a great web site.
I'm currently doing some family research and would
appreciate any information you can provide. Here's a brief history.
My father is Wilfred Hood (1944) in Coventry. His father is
Thomas Hood (1907) who married Frances Simmons (1906) and worked at Cashes in Coventry
until the company moved to Canada (1948/9). My great-grandfather's name is Issac Hood of
Bedworth who married Anne Bowns of Bedworth. (Her father is Harry Bowns)
Some of my grandfather's siblings are Ernie Hood, Evelyn
Hood, Jess, Vera...
If any of these names ring a bell or if you have any
stories you'd like to share I would love to hear from you.

Hi Rick,
I have only just read your CWN entry for October last year.
I go to Scholars most weeks and know Gus and Tracy. I will mention your plea next time I
am in there. My brother, Mike Penny, now works for Ecosuarus, the host site for CWN...it's
a small world.
Regards from Coventry

Hi!
Great to see Coventry on the Net. My name is Jim Smith and
I lived in St Georges Rd, Stoke and then Bennetts Rd, Keresley before migrating to South
Australia. I worked at Courtaulds Acetate, Little Heath and BT in the city. My favourite
watering holes were the Lanch, the dive and Sir Colin Campbell. It would be great to chat
with anyone from the area.
