Coventry Centre - Ozone Levels

The graph below shows the ozone level over the last week gathered by the DETR's automatic air pollution monitoring station for Coventry based at Bablake School.

The data is updated every hour and it is given in the same units and time average periods that are used to define the National Air Quality Standards.

Ozone is measured in Parts Per Billion (ppb).

The standard set by the Government's National Air Quality Standards (1997) is 50ppb as a running 8-hour average.

EU Directives on Air Quality set further 'marker levels':

MODERATE 50 - 89 ppb (hourly average)
HIGH 90 - 179 ppb (hourly average)
VERY HIGH 180+ ppb (hourly average)
