OCT 98] COVENTRY UNIVERSITY PRESS RELEASE
New Venture Fair '98 Showcases The New EntrepreneursMusic via the Internet, new cosmetic products for the Afro-Caribbean market and a
revolutionary range of safety products - just some of the innovative ideas that will be on
display at Coventry University's New Venture Fair '98.
The Fair takes place at the TechnoCentre, Coventry
University Technology Park, Parkside, on Wednesday 28 October, with 12 graduates from
Coventry and other universities presenting their new business ideas based on invention,
innovation and novel technological development.
Manager of Coventry University's Graduates into Business
team Isabell Majewsky explains:
"These graduates are the fruit of our Graduate
Enterprise Scheme and the Springboard business development programme which we have been
running over the summer.
"This event is the first of what will be an annual
event showcasing the work of young entrepreneurs who are developing their ideas through
Graduates into Business", adds Isabell.
The Springboard project, giving advice on business law,
patents and accounting for young entrepreneurs, attracted 250 applicants for just 20
places.
Those presenting at the New Venture Fair are the 'cream of
the crop'.
"Following the presentations, visitors will be free to
obtain further information about the new businesses from stands staffed by the
entrepreneurs themselves, who will be happy to answer any questions. It really will be an
exciting event, and a 'must see' for anyone who wants to see what the competition of
tomorrow is going to be", concludes Isabell.
