Students To Design Stars' Dream Cars
Design
students at Coventry University are getting ready to design dream cars
for celebrities including Kevin Keegan, Carole Smillie and Sir Geoff
Hurst.
The
England manager, Changing Rooms star and 1966 World Cup hero are among
those who have having their ideal car mocked up for them to raise
money for charity.
The
project is being organised by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and
Traders (SMMT), to raise money for BEN, the motor industry’s chosen
charity.
Celebrities
have been asked to submit their ideas and brief sketches for the car
of their dreams.
These
will be developed into final designs by students from Coventry
University’s MA Automotive Design course and from the Royal College
of Art in London.
The
final results will be exhibited at the Motor Show at the NEC in
Birmingham from 18-29 October.
Visitors
will be able to bid for or win a piece of artwork by their favourite
celebrity through a series of auctions and raffles.
