Students
from Coventry and Leamington Spa are among the latest recipients of bursaries from
Coventry Universitys Arts and Sports Bursaries Panel.
Josephine Burns, of Allesley Old Road, Coventry, and a student at Coventry University
Performing Arts, receives £300. The award will enable Josephine to take part in
Manchester Youth Theatres 1999 Production Season. Places with the Theatre are
limited and Josephine was awarded her place following her successful audition.
Fellow performing arts student, Natasha Springer of Halford Lane, Keresley, has also
been awarded £300. This will enable her to attend the week-long Anglia Summer School in
London, where she will develop her performance skills, including music, singing and
dancing - as well as production techniques.
Archer and engineering student James Folkard, of Kingland Drive Leamington Spa, has
been awarded £250, which he will use towards the purchase of replacement bow limbs and a
new sight.
James has represented the University at national level, and is the former Warwickshire
County and West Midlands Regional Indoor U18 Junior Champion.

Coventry University awards bursaries to its students under the scheme to encourage them
in their chosen field of artistic and sporting excellence during their time at university.
