Coventry Royal Mail worker
Richard Morgan has dared to show he isn’t the weakest link by coming
out on top in the BBC quiz show.
Richard, aged 29, from Binley
Road, works in the sales centre at the Coventry Mail Centre, Bishop
Street, Coventry.
The episode in which he wins
his prize of £2,710 is broadcast on Tuesday 20 March.
He said he was tempted to take
on the formidable Anne Robinson "for a dare":
"I have never done
anything like this before, but a friend of mine dared me to apply
and I was accepted. It was a great experience, and I am obviously
really pleased to have won.
"I travelled down the
night before staying overnight in a hotel booked by the BBC, as we
had to film the show at 9.30 in the morning.
“I had a bit of luck as at
the end of the first round I was the Weakest Link - but I wasn't
voted off. I never thought I would go on to win in a month of
Sundays - I am still getting over the shock!"
The first thing Richard is
planning with his winnings is a holiday for himself and his
girlfriend.
He said:
"We
haven't decided yet where we want to go, but we have always wanted
to go to Thailand, so that looks favourite at the moment.”
