A Coventry-based environmental
consultancy is reaping the benefits of linking up with the city’s
CW2000 information technology initiative.
Pro Enviro was established in
1987 as an energy management consultancy specialising in environmental
management and health, safety and quality systems for industrial
clients.
This year they linked up with
the CW2000 project which is designed to encourage Coventry and
Warwickshire businesses to use the latest information and
communication technologies to help improve their competitiveness.
Chairman Nersi Salehi said
they have invested in three ADSL Internet links through CW2000, which
have increased business efficiency. He added:
"We have made savings
of up to £8,000, as the use of the lines is free for a year as part
of the CW2000 package. Using advanced communication technology has
enabled us to provide state-of-the-art online training for our
clients."
CW2000 is managed by the
Business Support Partnership in Coventry and Warwickshire which
comprises The Chamber, Coventry University, Warwickshire County
Council, Coventry Centre for Investment and Warwick University Science
Park.
It
is backed by funding from the European Regional Development Fund and
is supported by a number of private sector firms including BT, Hewlett
Packard, NTL and Sony.
