[16 APR 99] LEE
BEESLEY PRESS RELEASE
Lee Beesley Expand Activities In North WestLee Beesley, one of the countrys leading electrical engineering companies,
has expanded its activities in the North West through the purchase of industrial control
system specialists "Cheshire Systems".
Lee Beesley has acquired the business interests of the
Widnes based company to broaden the services it provides to its customers, as well as
maximising the major business potential within the North West region. Lee Beesleys
customers include leading players in the automotive, food and petrochemical industries,
many of which have sites in the region and who will benefit from a more local base.
Cheshire Systems specialises in the design and software
development of conveyor systems for major car producers, such as Ford, who through this
take-over, will benefit from the wider scope of work that the company can now offer.
Although Cheshire Systems is now owned by Lee Beesley, it
will retain its own identity and continue to trade as Cheshire Systems.
The company aims to recruit more staff over the forthcoming
months, to join the 23 employees currently working at St Michaels Industrial Estate
in Widnes.
Commenting on the acquisition, Lee Beesleys Regional
Manager Andy Devlin says:
"This take-over will allow Cheshire Systems to offer
customers the complete package, including industrial control systems, data communication
networks, and traditional electrical installations. We will be looking to build on the
excellent reputation that Cheshire Systems already has in the industry and develop new
business opportunities within the North West."
