New Company To Take Over At Kix96
Coventry
radio station Kix 96 is to be taken over next week after being sold by
its current owners.

Enterprises is to take the helm at the station on Monday after months of
negotiations. It is thought that a new managing director could be
installed.
Currently
owned by the Murfin family, Kix 96 first hit the airwaves in August
1990. It is based in Watch Close in Spon End and has around 60,000
visitors a week.
The
holding company, Murfin Music International Ltd, which has Muff Murfin
as its chief executive, also has a radio station covering Hereford and
Worcester and another in Shropshire.

has a variety of media interests around the country including
The Bay in Morecambe and the North West Evening Mail in Barrow.
A
smaller company owned by the group has also applied for a licence to
operate a radio station in Kendal and Westmoreland in Cumbria.
