Coventry Building Society, the UKs 7th largest building
society, has launched its first Graduate Development Programme.
This new management training programme is aimed at producing future managers for the
Society through a structured development programme which will combine formal courses with
secondments in a variety of areas within the business, as well as other activities such as
project work and distance learning.
The training programme will cover a period of between 18 months and 2 years and will be
developed according to the skills requirements and career interests of each graduate.
Three graduates will be recruited onto the first programme.
Martin Ritchley, Chief Executive of the Coventry said:
"We are delighted to be launching this new venture and aim to recruit graduates
who will have a commitment to the Society and their own careers. Plans are well underway
to recruit suitable applicants for the programme and we anticipate that those who are

"Coventry Building Society has shown enormous commitment to training and
development and this year has gained the Investors in People Award. We have ambitious
plans to grow our business and anticipate that there will be a significant number of
management opportunities in the future. This programme is designed to complement the
existing experience and skills within the Society to enable it to continue to be one of
the UKs most successful building societies."
