People unable to get a ticket
for this week’s international basketball games at Coventry Skydome
will be able to get a glimpse of the action thanks to webcams in the
arena.
They have been installed by CWN
to allow people from all over the world the chance to see what is
going on.
The cameras will be showing
the action at the Skydome for most of the week as part of an
experiment to gauge their popularity.
England play the Slovak
Republic on Saturday, and will come up against Latvia on Wednesday.
In a unique experiment, two
cameras have been installed, one at either end of the court. They are
programmed to update every 30 seconds.
CWN managing director Chris
Studman said:
“Webcams are proving very
popular with internet users as it helps them keep in touch with
events all over the world.
“Our camera pointing at
Broadgate is constantly being visited.
“All there is no
substitute for live action, this week’s shots from the Skydome
will give people a flavour of the match.
”Hopefully it will help
people unable to come to Coventry keep in touch with the fortunes of
the England team, and will encourage more people to come to the
Skydome in the future.
