days later.
Sunday’s gig, with entry at
just £2, is to highlight the diversity of the bands playing in the
city at the moment.
THE BANDS
ROCHENKO. Based in and around
Coventry, Rochenko have an album's worth of quality material ready,
and some record labels sniffing around. They have gigged regularly in
Coventry during 2000.
SOULER RHYTHM . Since March
1998 when the band first struck their instruments live in Bath Place,
Leamington Spa, they have grown to be a popular band wherever they
play, becoming regulars at Birmingham's Ronnie Scotts, and the
Coventry Jazz Festival.
THORIUM. A three-piece heavy
guitar act who have played live in Coventry for a number years. This
is a track from their first recording, completed in Sept 2000, which
already has Metal Hammer magazine and a few record labels interested.
FLASH VEGAS . Well, it’s
blatant pop, and the first track recorded by these Coventry stars that
feature Rich on vocals and 2 female bass players. Now, you don't see
that every day!
