City Centre Knife
Robbery
A 19 year old Coventry man was
robbed by knife-wielding attackers in the city centre on Sunday
night.
The incident occurred at 11.20pm in
Trinity Street when a young man from Coundon was approached by two
offenders who demanded money and threatened him with a six-inch
bladed knife.
Fearing for his safety, the victim
handed over £5 in cash.
The offenders then ran to a an
A-registered grey Rover car parked nearby and drove off. The
victim was uninjured but he was shaken up by the incident.
The first offender is described as
a white man in his early 20s, about 6ft tall, of thin build and
with facial stubble. He was wearing a pink or purple polo-style
shirt.
The second offender is dsecribed as
a white man in his early 20s, about 6ft 2ins tall, of thin build,
clean shaven and was wearing a white, yellow and blue waterproof
jacket.
West Midlands Police initiative
Operation Safer Streets aims to tackle offences such as these by
working with the public to bring offenders before the courts.
Anyone who witnessed this incident,
or who recognises the descriptions of the offenders, is asked to
