Old Lady Robbed By
Conmen
A 77 year old woman was robbed in her
home yesterday by two conmen who offered to cut her grass.
The incident took place around 1pm
in the Fynford Road area of Radford, Coventry.
Two men called at the pensioner's
home and asked if she wanted her lawns cut and they agreed a
price.
One man started to cut the grass,
and whilst the woman was distracted, they took her money and fled.
The two made off in a yellow Ford
Escort van. They were both white men and both aged about 20. One
was 6ft tall, of skinny build and the other was about 5ft 2in
tall, of stocky build and wearing a fluorescent jacket.
The amount of cash stolen is not
being released.
Police at Little Park Street are
investigating and appealing for witnesses or anyone with any
