CRIMES, FIRES & ACCIDENTS
Robbery At Burger
King
Robbers struck at a Coventry Burger
King yesterday evening.
The incident happened between
10.10pm and 10.28pm at the fast food outlet on the Cross Point
industrial estate.
Two robbers wearing balaclavas
entered the rear yard of the restaurant after it had closed.
They tied the wrists of two staff
members with some electric cable and while one of the offenders
stayed with them the other entered the restaurant itself and told
the manager to open the safe.
The robber then stole a substantial
quantity of cash and put it into a rucksack. The manager and two
staff members were then put into a storeroom and all three had
their wrists and ankles bound.
The Burger King staff however
managed to free themselves and raised the alarm after the
offenders had left.
Both offenders are described as
white men of large build and aged between 20 and 30.
One is 6ft tall and wearing dark
shoes, trousers and sweatshirt, a green balaclava, silver
wristwatch, black gloves and dark baseball cap.
The second was wearing a blue
balaclava, white cap, dark clothing and white trainers.
Anyone with information should
contact police at Stoney Stanton Road on 024 7653 9020.
