Daylight Robbery

A man was robbed near Whitefriars Monastery on Saturday afternoon.

The incident took place at 3.45pm on the grass verge next to the Monastery at Ringway Whitefriars, Coventry.

The victim, a 39 year old man from Solihull, approached the offender to ask him directions to the train station. The offender showed him the way, then forced him to the ground and robbed him, stealing £14 cash and his glasses worth £70.

The Solihull man was not injured.

The offender is described as an Asian male, 20-25 years old, 5ft 4in tall with short hair. He was wearing a light blue woolly hat, a blue leather jacket with short sleeves, jeans and black shoes.
