Spar Store Hit By Armed Robber

A Spar store in Coventry was hit by an armed robber last night.

The robbery took place last night at the Spar shop in Parkhill Drive, Eastern Green, Coventry.

An offender wearing a black woollen balaclava and holding a black hand gun went into the store at about 9.40pm. He pointed the weapon at staff and handed over a carrier bag which he told them to fill with money.

No shots were fired and staff were not injured.

The offender got away with £300 cash plus phone cards and cigarettes. He is described as a white man, 6ft 3in tall and of slight build. He is aged 19 to 23 and was wearing a grey sweatshirt and blue jeans.
