Man Charged With
Attempted Murder
A
Coventry man was due to appear in court today charged with the
attempted murder of a city hotelier.
The
32-year-old was arrested by detectives following several appeals
to the public after the incident on 9 March.
 Khurshid
Naqvi (right) remains in a serious condition in hospital after
suffering head injuries outside the Falcon Hotel in Stoney Road.
He
had gone to answer the door at 2am after hearing the hotel’s
doorbell ring. Since the incident Dr Naqvi has undergone four
major operations on his brain.
