Gun Threat At
Coventry Post Office
A
Coventry postmaster and his wife found themselves looking down the
barrel of a gun yesterday when an offender demanded cash from
them.
The
attacker went into the Radford Post Office in Radford Road at
10.15am yesterday. No other customers were in the shop at the
time, and he went up to the counter.
He
raised his arm at the couple behind the glass screen and pointed
what appeared to be a concealed gun at them.
The
attacker demanded money, but the postmaster sounded the security
alarm before any cash was handed over, and the man fled.
He
is white, aged between 25 and 30, 5ft 8ins, stocky build, short
mousy hair and had a scarf with large green and black checks over
the bottom of his face.
He
wore a beige blouson-style jacket and jeans.
The
couple were not injured but were extremely shaken by the ordeal.
Witnesses
should call detectives on 024 7653 9010.
