Gun Used In City Store Hold-Up

A shop assistant was badly shaken but escaped injury after tackling a man with a gun in a Coventry store.

The gun man walked into Sindhu and Sons in Foleshill Road at 4.45 pm on Tuesday and produced a weapon.

He pointed it at the 24-year-old man serving behind the till and demanded money. There was a brief struggle before the offender fled empty-handed.

The attacker is about 5ft 10ins, skinny and is aged about 18 to 20. He was wearing a dark hat, a black scarf over his face and dark sunglasses.
