Coventry Man Charged
With Rail Death Hoax
A
27-year-old Coventry man has been arrested after allegedly
claiming he had lost a relative in last week’s crash at Selby.
He
has been charged with wasting police time and obstructing a
coroner following the crash last week in Yorkshire in which 13
people are believed to have died.
The
charges follow allegations that he telephoned the Train Crash
Casualty Bureau and falsely reported that a relative was missing.
He
will appear before Coventry Magistrates' Court to answer the
charges.
