Boy's Skull
Fractured In Gang Attack
A
Coventry boy aged 15 suffered a fractured skull when he was set on
by a gang as he walked down a city street after visiting a
nightclub.
Police
are trying to trace anyone who saw the attack, which took place
between 2.30am and 3.30am on Sunday in Stoney Stanton Road.
The
lad had been to Fatty Arbuckles nightclub and was walking down the
street towards the city centre with two older girls when the
suspected unprovoked attack was launched. He was hit on the head
with a brick.
A
gang of about 15 to 20 youths were gathered in the street, and
some members of that group are thought to have attacked the
youngster.
He
is said to be in a “comfortable”
position in Coventry and Warwickshire hospital after being taken
there for treatment.
Police
are appealing for anyone who saw the victim to come forward so
they can try and piece together what happened.
He
is 6ft, mixed raced, medium build with short cropped black hair
and a slight moustache.
He
wore a brown bomber jacket, a grey shirt, dark blue jeans and
black shirt.
