Shotgun Stolen In
Coventry House Raid
A
warning has been issued for people in Coventry to be on their
guard after a replica shotgun was stolen during a burglary at a
house in the city yesterday.
The
break-in happened in the Everdon Road area of Holbrooks.
The
burglar or burglars stole a replica double-barrelled shotgun, as
well as some other items, including jewellery, some cash, a video
recorder and a CD cassette player.
There
is a youth who police would like to speak to in connection with
their investigation.
He
is white, aged about 14, 5ft 2ins, medium build with short hair.
It
is believed the burglars gained entry to the house via the back of
the property and also left the same way with the stolen goods.
Police
at Stoney Stanton Road are appealing for any witnesses or anyone
with information to call them on 024 7653 9020.
A
police spokesman said:
"We
are anxious to trace the offenders and the stolen property,
especially the replica firearm.
"We
would like to hear from anyone who knows where the property
might be being sold or anyone who recognises the description of
the youth."
