£2,000 Stolen In
Coventry Street Attack
A
robber snatched a woman's handbag containing £2,000 cash as she
was on her way to the building society to deposit it in Coventry.
Police
are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened in
Station Street East in Foleshill at 12.25pm on Monday.
The
37-year-old victim, from Coventry, was approached from behind and
pushed, causing her to fall over.
The
offender tried to snatch her bag but she held on to it and there
was a struggle.
He
managed to grab hold of the bag and made off back down the road.
The
woman was on her way to the Coventry Building Society on Station
Street East to deposit the money which her savings.
The
offender is of eastern European appearance, in his early 20s,
medium build, 5ft 8ins tall. He has a thin face, dark eyes and had
a stud through his eyebrow.
He
was wearing a beige Nike baseball cap, black puffa jacket, dark
beige jeans and black leather shoes.
