Shot Fired At
Assistant In Store Raid
Armed
raiders fired a shot in a convenience store before making off with
the till, leaving a shop assistant terrified yesterday.
The
raid took place at Fourbouy’s in Stanley’s Court, Leamington
at 8.50pm.
Two
Asian men in their mid-20s and wearing dark baseball caps walked
into the shop and demanded cash from the 28-year-old woman serving
behind the counter.
One
of them produced a gun and fired it into a display of cigarettes
behind the assistant. The pair then grabbed the till, containing
£220 in cash, and escaped.
The
till was later recovered. The women was not injured but was
terrified by her ordeal.
Police
today appealed for witnesses to come forward to help trace the
robbers.
One
attacker is 5ft 10ins, average build and had a white silky scarf
over his face. His accomplice is 5ft 8ins and had a dark scarf.
