Chain Ripped From
Man's Neck In City Centre
A
man had a gold chain ripped from his neck by an attacker in a
Coventry street yesterday afternoon.
The
man was in Greyfriars Lane next to the Careers Centre when he was
set upon at 3.30pm.
He
was grabbed by the attacker, a white man in his early 20s, and
pushed against a wall.
The
victim felt something sharp being pressed into his side, but did
not see a weapon.
A
16-inch gold chain worth £40 was pulled from his neck. His
pockets were searched and £80 in cash was taken before the
offender fled.
The
attacker then fled. He has short black curly hair and was possibly
wearing a black hooded jacket.
