Pensioner Dies At Wheel Of Car

A pensioner died today after his car left the road and crashed when he suffered a suspected heart attack at the wheel.

The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene at Rugby Road in Clifton-on-Dunsmore.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the accident, which took place at 10.55am when the VW Golf left the road.

Police said fire and ambulance crews were called in as a precaution, and the coroner’s officer has since been informed.
