Boys Shot As They
Played In Park
Boys
as young as seven were shot at by teenagers armed with a gun, and
police are appealing for help in tracing the culprits.
The
shots were fired at the youngsters in the park between Troutbeck
Avenue and Penrith Close in Leamington at 12.30pm on Saturday.
The
boys, aged between seven and 11, were hit in the leg by plastic
caps fired from a silver ball-bearing gun with a black handle.
They
were thought to have been saved when a middle-aged women came out
of a nearby house and shouted at the attackers.
Police
are trying to find those responsible for the attack. The boy with
the gun is about 13, medium build, 5ft 2ins.
He
was wearing glasses, a grey baseball cap and a grey long-sleeved
fleece and grey khaki bottoms.
The
lad with him was about 12, skinny build with short blond curly
hair. He had a beige fleece top, blue jeans and black roller
blades.
