Women Terrified As
Petrol Station Held Up
Two
Coventry petrol station attendants were bundled into a stock room
as youths armed with a gun stole cash.
The
two women were preparing to close Cromwell Garage in Torrington
Avenue, Tile Hill at 7pm yesterday when they were set upon.
Two
white youths, aged about 18 and wearing dark clothing, walked into
the building and forced the teenager and the 41-year-old members
of staff into a stock room.
Brandishing
a dark hand gun, they then made them open a cash box, and made off
with about £200.
The
women were left severely shaken and frightened by the incident,
but were not injured.
PC
Ian McArthur, who is hunting the robbers, said:
“The
employees were not injured but they were terrified n they were
left very upset.
“We
believe a lest one motorist filled up as the petrol station was
about to close and I would like to here from any witnesses as
they may have valuable information would could help us to catch
these offenders.”
