Coventry Woman Dies
From House Fire Injuries
A
woman who was hurt along with her children in a fire at their
Coventry home has died from her injuries.
The
woman lost her battle for life at the Coventry and Warwickshire
Hospital yesterday afternoon.
Her
two daughters, aged four and 18 months, are now both in a
“critical but stable” condition at the Queens Hospital in
Nottingham.
They
all suffered from the effects of smoke inhalation following an
intense fire at their home in Queen Mary’s Road, Foleshill at
midnight on Tuesday.
None
of the trio has yet been formally identified. A man believed to be
the husband of the dead woman and father of the children is
expected to arrive in England today on a flight from abroad.
Police
stressed that it was still too early to say what the cause of the
fire was. Forensic tests have been carried out and the results are
expected tomorrow.
They
repeated pleas for anyone who may have seen something suspicious
in the road from about 11.30pm to come forward and call officers
on 024 7653 9020.
