Pensioner Flattened By House Attackers

A Coventry pensioner was pushed to the ground by two burglars who burst into her home and ransacked her house.

The 75-year-old opened her front door at her house in Cannon Hill Road, Cannon Hill, when two men in their 20s knocked on it at 7.30pm yesterday.

They pushed her to the ground and went through the house, searching for items to steal.

They took £30 in cash and fled. The woman was not physically injured but was left extremely shaken and upset.

Both men were wearing anoraks: one is believed to be red and black, the other was red. Any witnesses should call 024 7653 9040.
