Women Attack Car In
Road Rage Incident
Police
are hunting two women who allegedly attacked a motorist in a road
rage incident near a nightclub.
The
victim was driving her Peugeot 306 past Millenniums nightclub in
Nuneaton at 11.25pm on Monday when the attack happened.
She
told police that she was driving slowly because of the icy
conditions and became aware of a white car behind her.
The
two women inside the car her shouting and gesticulating at her.
The
victim turned on to Leicester Road and was in the right-hand lane
of the dual carriageway when the other car drove alongside her.
Her
car was struck and both cars stopped. The passenger got out of the
second car, a white M reg Vauxhall Nova, which had its rear number
plate missing, and approached the woman.
Police
said the woman shouted at the victim and tried to get in the car.
the doors had been locked by the terrified motorist and the
attacker instead banged a bottle on the windscreen.
Neither
broke, but the driver of the Nova then got out and started
shouting and banging on the roof.
The
incident ended after a man pulled up in a Ford Escort. The alleged
victim was uninjured but was very shaken by her ordeal.
