Reward On Offer
After City Bank Attack
A
£15,000 reward is on offer after two men attacked a security
guard at a Coventry bank and stole cash yesterday.
The
attack happened at the HSBC in Radford Road, Radford at 11.20am.
Two men walked into the bank following a Securicor guard who was
carrying a cash box.
They
forced the box out the guard’s hand and fled. There were other
customers in the bank at the time but no-one saw a weapon, and
no-one was injured.
The
men got into a waiting silver Audi A4 and drove off. It drove down
Villa Road and was later found abandoned in Guardhouse Road.

Philip Rickells said:
“We
are appealing to anyone who either witnessed the incident or saw
the three offenders get out of the Audi.
“We
want to know where they went, if they used another vehicle or if
they fled on foot.”
All
three offenders are black. The first is 5ft 10ins, medium build
and wore bark clothing, including a bomber jacket, and possibly
had a balaclava with red on it.
The
second is in his 20, 5ft 8ins and also wore dark clothing. Police
do not yet have a description of the driver of the car.

“A
substantial reward of £15,000 is on offer for anyone with
information that would lead to the arrest of the people involved
in this robbery.”
