Ghostly Attacker
Points Gun At Shop Staff
A
man with a ghostly appearance proved to be in more than fancy
dress when he threatened shop staff with a gun.
The
man in a ghost mask, with slits cut out for the eyes, pointed a
weapon between six and eight inches long at the staff in Quick Buy
in Rugby Road, Leamington.
The
attack was launched at 5.40pm on 31 December. The man walked into
the shop and pointed the hand gun at the male manager and his
female assistant.
He
shouted threats at them and demanded money. When the manager
challenged the offender he ran off empty-handed.
Police
are appealing for help in tracking the man. They are particularly
keen to hear from anyone who inside the shop or near it during the
attack, and for anyone who saw in which direction the man ran.
He
is of medium build, in his late 20s and about 5ft 6ins. Anyone
with information should call DC Chishty
on 01926 415000.
