Guns Found In Coventry House

A man was helping police with their enquiries today after two guns were found at a house in Coventry.

Police from Stoney Stanton Road executed a search warrant at a house in the Radford area and took away two firearms for examination.

The man was arrested and is to be questioned by detectives later today.

The raid was launched as part of the Safer Streets initiative, which is operating in the north and west of the city.

Supt Andy Nicholson said:

“We pledged to the people of Coventry that we would target the bad guys and arrest them and we are maintaining that pledge.

“As well as operation like this we are using high-visibility policing to flood the area covered by the Stoney Stanton Road Operational Command unit and we will continue to target those seek to break the law and will arrest them and put them before the courts.”
