Armed Robbers Strike
At Club
A
steward and a barman were forced into a cellar by armed robbers
who struck at a club last night.
The
masked men walked into the Bulkington Working Men’s Club in
Chequer Street, Bulkington through the front door at 11.45pm.
They
confronted the barman and steward who were preparing to lock up
and one of the men brandished what appeared to be a pistol at the
two men.
The
robbers demanded the keys to the safe and forced the two victims
into the cellar, where they told them to lie on the floor.
They
then took a quantity of cash from the safe before shutting the
cellar door and escaping.
The
barman and steward managed to force their way out and raised the
alarm at 12.05am.
Both
attackers were white and spoke with local accents. The man with
the gun is 5ft 10ins, well-built and wore a black ski-mask and a
dark suit.
His
accomplice is the same height but more skinny, had a fawn coloured
ski-mask, dark bomber jacket and dark trousers.
Witnesses
should contact Bedworth CID on 01926 415000 or Crimestoppers on
