Lorry Driver Set On
By Attackers
Two
robbers tried to force a man to hand over the keys to his lorry in
Coventry yesterday, and attacked him when he refused.
They
approached him outside a firm called Dixons in the Couriers Close
industrial estate between 9.30pm and 9.45pm.
The
victim, aged 27, was returning a vehicle that he had been using
that day when the attackers demanded that he give them the keys.
He
refused, telling them that the trailer was empty. They then
punched and kicked him in the head and body before escaping
empty-handed.
The
man suffered bruising, a swollen cheek and stiffness in his
shoulders and neck.
Police
appealed for help in catching the attackers, who are both white.
One is in his 20s, 6ft, stocky, with very short hair and dark
clothing. He had a distinctive two-inch scar on his left cheek.
His
accomplice is 6ft, skinny and also had very short hair and dark
clothing. Witnesses should call police on 024 7653 9175.
