Knife Threats Made
At City Store
A
man threatened a shop assistant in a Coventry department store
with a knife before stealing money from the till.
He
walked into Allders in Cross Cheaping and made his way to the
hosiery department between 4.50pm and 5.10pm yesterday.
The
man, who is white, in his late 20s, 5ft 8ins and medium build with
cropped fairish hair, approached a female assistant and pulled out
a ten-inch blade with a black handle.
He
stole £540 from the till and fled. He was wearing a black woolly
hat and a green three-quarter length jacket. Witnesses should call
