Sawn-off Shotguns
Brandished In Club Raid
Masked
robbers threatened a Coventry rugby club stewardess with sawn-off
shotgun before raiding the till and safe.
They
appeared as the 55-year-old woman was locking up at the
Coventrians RFC in Yelverton Road, Radford between 6.15pm and
6.30pm.
The
men produced shotguns and brandished them at the woman. They
forced her back into the building and stole a total of £800.
The
men, who are both white, and wore dark clothing and balaclavas,
escaped in a white Rover 214 which was parked outside the club.
It
was later found abandoned nearby. Witnesses, or people who saw
anyone acting suspiciously before the attack, should call police
on 024 7653 9020.
